Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and the operators of ViceMod ("we", "us") for using ViceMod. We have tried to keep them readable. Please read them; by using the site you agree to them.

1. What ViceMod is#

ViceMod is an independent community website about GTA VI and modding. It publishes news and guides and is building a platform for sharing community-made modifications.

ViceMod is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected with Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive or their affiliates. Grand Theft Auto, GTA, GTA VI, GTA 6, Rockstar Games and related names, logos and characters are trademarks of their respective owners. We use game names only to describe what the site is about.

2. Who can use it#

You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if higher, to create an account. If you use ViceMod on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

3. Your account#

• Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised.
• One person per account. Do not buy, sell or share accounts.

4. How you may use the site#

Use ViceMod lawfully and respectfully. You must not:

• break the law or help someone else break it;
• harass, threaten or impersonate anyone;
• post spam, scams or misleading content;
• interfere with the site, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or try to access accounts or data that are not yours;
• scrape or automatically collect content in a way that burdens the service;
• use ViceMod to promote or distribute content prohibited by our Content Policy.

5. Content you upload#

This section applies to anything you submit, including mods, files, images, text and profile content, as these features become available.

You keep ownership#

You keep all rights you have in your content. ViceMod does not claim ownership of your mods.

Your promise about rights#

When you upload something, you confirm that you created it, or that you have all the permissions needed to upload and distribute it through ViceMod, and that it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights. We do not verify ownership for you; the responsibility is yours.

The licence you give us#

So we can run the platform, you give the operators of ViceMod a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy (as technically necessary), cache, display and distribute your content through ViceMod; to create thumbnails, previews and resized versions of it; to make it available for download as you choose to publish it; and to show your content and its media on ViceMod and in ViceMod's own promotion of the platform and your work.

This licence exists only to operate and promote ViceMod. It ends when you delete your content or account, except for copies we must keep for legal reasons, content already downloaded by others, and backups deleted on a normal schedule.

Content from others#

When you download a mod, the creator's own permissions and licence terms apply to it. Respect them.

6. Prohibited content#

Our Content Policy explains what is and is not allowed. In short, ViceMod does not allow piracy, cracks, stolen or leaked content, malware, online cheats and exploits, anti-cheat bypasses, account manipulation tools, or content that is illegal. We decide based on what content actually does, not what it is labelled.

7. Mods, downloads and your own risk#

Mods are made by third parties, not by ViceMod. Installing a modification can change game files, affect stability, stop working after game updates, or conflict with other mods. Keep backups and follow each creator's instructions.

We review content and act on reports, but we cannot guarantee that every file is safe, compatible or works as described. We never label a file as verified or scanned unless a real check has been carried out.

Do not use single-player modifications in Rockstar online services unless that use is expressly permitted. Doing so may breach the game publisher's terms and put your game account at risk. Those consequences are between you and the publisher.

8. Moderation#

We may review, restrict, hide, disable downloads for, or remove content, and we may warn, suspend or terminate accounts, when content or behaviour breaks these terms, our Content Policy or the law, or creates risk for users or the platform. We prefer reversible steps, such as a temporary hold, while we investigate. Where appropriate we will tell you what happened and why.

9. Copyright complaints#

We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement as described in our Copyright & DMCA Policy. We have a repeat-infringer policy and may terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe others' rights.

10. Ending your use#

You can stop using ViceMod and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop operating the service. Sections that by their nature should survive — such as the licence limits, disclaimers and liability terms — continue to apply.

11. Third-party links and services#

ViceMod may link to other websites and tools. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

12. Availability and changes to the service#

We work to keep ViceMod available and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, add or remove features. Some modules are announced before they launch; announcing a feature is not a promise that it will be delivered in a particular form or by a particular date.

13. Disclaimers#

To the extent permitted by law, ViceMod is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be limited.

14. Limitation of liability#

To the extent permitted by law, the operators of ViceMod is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of data, game progress, profits or goodwill arising from your use of ViceMod or of content made by third parties. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

15. Indemnity#

If you upload content or use ViceMod in breach of these terms or someone else's rights, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs we incur as a result, to the extent the law allows.

16. Changes to these terms#

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date and keep earlier versions on record. For significant changes we will give notice on the site and, where required, ask you to accept the new version before you continue using your account.

17. Governing law#

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator is established, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
